MANASSEH
Frank & Wanda Cernosek, tribe leaders
Manasseh, Grandson of Jacob and Rachel, Son of Joseph. In Hebrew,
Manasseh means, to forget all your toil.
The Tribe of Manasseh was favored with land on both sides of the
Jordan, amassing the largest area of all the tribes. Manasseh, along
with Reuben and Gad, faithfully helped the other tribes conquer
the giants of the land, returning to their home across the river
only when victory had been proclaimed.
Frank was the oldest of seven children. He attended seminary in
preparation for priesthood in the Roman Catholic Church. In his
five years in the seminary he did not own a Bible since it was not
required reading or study. Frank, being skeptical of a celibate
life and having the opportunity to play professional baseball was
lured away from the seminary.
The god of sport took Frank through college and 5 years
of pro baseball, but it left him empty. A shoulder injury caused
him to abandon that god and turn to the corporate world for satisfaction.
It too was empty. While working for a large insurance company he
met Wanda. Unfortunately, Wanda was almost as Lutheran as Frank
was Catholic so in order to get married, Wanda became a Catholic.
However, the traditional teachings and rituals soon became an obstacle
in the marriage.
A Catholic charismatic retreat in the mountains of New Mexico,
brought them to the realization that Christianity is not a religion,
its a person called Jesus Christ. They joined a non-denominational
prayer group in Lubbock, TX where they came into contact with Derek
Princes teaching, from which they drank richly. A move to
San Antonio in 1974 brought them in contact with John Hagee when
Derek Prince was ministering at Trinity Church.
For the past 28 years Frank and Wanda have served the Lord as Home
Ministry Leaders, Sunday School Teachers, Marriage Intimacy Leaders,
with Frank being an Elder and Deacon. They are currently Tribe Leaders
for Manasseh and are involved as Encounter Leaders. Frank has been
blessed as an owner of a successful insurance agency and both he
and Wanda operate a ranching business in Fayette County which features
Brangus livestock.
The vision of the XII was birthed in Frank and Wandas hearts
during the discipleship teaching of the 80s. Cornerstones
Biblical approach to spiritual authority assures Gods children
of being in the center of His preparation for the end time harvest
of souls. The Tribe of Manasseh consists of leaders located in all
areas of the city and beyond. Their ministry is family oriented
with a special emphasis on at-risk children.
Frank and Wanda consider it an honor and a privilege to be serving
in Gods Kingdom among the anointed leadership at Cornerstone
Church and to be gifted with the wonderful Cell Leaders given to
them by the Lord in the Tribe of Manasseh.
