ISSACHAR
Diran & Dupe Adedeji, tribe leaders
Knowing the signs of the time for exploits”
We moved to San Antonio from New Jersey after living there for 12
years. Things were really tough and the Lord showed me a vision to
leave that city before it gets too late for me.
We got to San Antonio on January 6, 1997, which happened to be our
first wedding anniversary and we discovered Cornerstone Church in
March of the same year.
Even though it is a huge church, to us it is small because we feel
like family here. Nobody sees color, race, age or background, all we
see here is the family of God coming together.
We joined the Home and Hospital Ministries immediately and took all
the classes available to grow in the Lord. Dupe volunteered in the
Children’s church for the 11 o’clock service for many years. Later
we became Home Ministry Leaders.
In 1999 God told me to go back to my country, Nigeria, and start a
ministry there catering to the orphans, widows and less privileged.
Pastor John Hagee, who ordained me to be a pastor, has supported us
and assisted us in many areas of our ministry and he has been a real
blessing from the Lord. Today we have about thirty children who have
benefited from our scholarship program and about fifteen still
benefiting from it right now. We have over a thousand widows in
three cities that we feed and we do medical missions about once in
four months in those locations.
Pastor Hagee helped us in purchasing a home that will conveniently
accommodate thirty children. Right now, we have five babies who lost
their mothers at birth and two children who lost their father to
HIV/AIDS. We are still taking in more children and we’ll stop at
thirty. We hope to train them up to University level and make that
place a real home for them and not just an orphanage.
We both get invitations to preach in churches both here in the US
and in Nigeria. Dupe has, with the blessing and support of Mama
Diana Hagee, organized the King Daughter’s Conference for five years
in Nigeria, about 1,800 people have passed through these classes and
she does it yearly.
It is such a great honor to become Tribe Leader and to serve the
people of Cornerstone Church under the able leadership of Pastor
John and Diana Hagee and we pray for wisdom to do this great work.
God has blessed us tremendously with our three wonderful children
and businesses both in Nigeria and the United States.
Our motto for Issachar is “Issachar Prays”. The men and women of
Issachar are committed to praying to the Lord Almighty who is able
to do all things.
